Profile

It was established the non-profit, civil scientific institute under the name EL.E.M.E.E.A (Hellenic Institute of Ayurveda Science Application & Study)* and registered in the books of the Court of First Instance of Athens under the serial number 18581/21-12-2005.  According to the Articles, the main objectives of the Institute are the protection, advocacy and good fame of the Ayurveda science as well as its promotion to the Greek public, through the organization of seminars, conferences, contact with other respective institutes abroad, and other events and activities aiming at keeping the science's level at the proper higher point, as it suits, and will protect it against any "amateurish" or profiteering actions, since the corresponding legislation is not still explicit and clear in our country.  EL.E.M.E.E.A. is constituted by physicians, institutions and scientists who enhanced by their own role the science of Ayurveda in Greece, like:  Natural Health Science, Dr. Andreas Tsourouktsoglou (neurologist-psychiatrist), Dr. Vassilis Tritakis (physician - acupuncturist), Constantinos Constantopoulos (homeopathetic physician), Dr. Constantinos Nobelis (Naturopathy), Dr. Evangelos Gigontes (Surgeon Gynecologist), Dr. Climentini Poulou (Dermatologist), etc.
Chairman and operator of EL.E.M.E.E.A is Sofia Papadopoulou, chemist - Ayurvedic researcher, Manager of Ayurveda Himalaya* Hellas.
Within the context of pharmaceutic conferences – exhibitions, Hellas Pharm 2006 and Activia 2006, special honorary and informative events took place.
